Khoj Wellbeing
Exploring wellbeing through stories, relationships and systems.

At Khoj, we believe our emotions, identities, relationships and environment shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us. With the aim to create a more inclusive, accessible and deeply human ecosystem, we work on providing individual therapeutic care, capacity building workshops and advocacy dialogues around emotions and wellbeing.

Hi, I am Shailja!

Counselling Psychologist ยท Delhi

I work with children, adolescents, parents and educators across schools, communities and therapeutic settings for the past four years. My work spans counselling support, facilitating life skills and wellbeing workshops with parents, teachers and school leaders to strengthen support systems for youth.

My work with youth on concerns like anxiety, grief, body image, trauma and neurodivergent issues helped me understand how wellbeing is rarely an individual work โ€” it lives inside our families, communities and structural systems.

With the belief to honor the context of all our untangled emotions and thoughts, my practice uses a trauma-informed lens with techniques drawn from person-centred, emotion-focused and art-based approaches. Therapy here is about exploring patterns, sitting with discomfort and understanding it โ€” rather than trying to 'fix it.'

Apart from talking about emotions, reading, cuddling furry babies, cooking, and spending time in nature (from going for long walks to lying in grass) are some of my grounding practices. If this aligns with you, let's embark on the journey toward healing and self-discovery together โ€” and yes, that's how I landed with the name Khoj.
